Konan walked into the Akatsuki lair after being away for a couple months, chasing one of the Jinjiriki. She looked around and sighed, then walked down one of the halls, looking for Pein to tell him the bad news.

Devra walked down the hall and spoted konan "how did it go? Do you have it? Is it in the room? Was it easy?"

Konan looked up at him and bit her lip, shaking her head. "No. He escaped me. I chased him for a month and then he just...disappeared."

Peins face went red (when i say Pein i mean Devera if i want to talk about any of the others i will just say it) "Oh thats too bad Konan good try." Its okay there is still the others Tobi/Zetzu, Hidan/Kakazu,Itachi/Kisame and the the hostage and Sasori are going to get Nibi Pein thought to himself.

Konan looked at him, registering that he was a little disapointed but was still hopeful. "Everyone else will be back soon," she said. "They'll have better results."

(in this thing i read about konan it says that she can tell how Pein feels even if he doesnt actually show it)

"I sent them all to get the other demons then I have a hostage who i just realised with Sasori to go and get Nibi then if she comes back with Nibi I will use her so we can get the Nine tailed fox and then we can get the Eight tailed and then the one you missed. Konan smiled, glad that Pein was happy, but then she raised an eyebrow. "We have a hostage?" she asked. "And it's a girl? Where did you get her?"

Itachi came back from his journey. He looked at Pein and Konan as he walked by them.
"Hmph..."
He stopped near the door to the next room.
"If you want to know how it went, ask Kisame."

Konan looked at Itachi and nodded in greeting before looking at Pein. "Even though Itachi and Kisame came back empty handed, there's still everyone else right?"
