Wandering

Naruto sighed and grabbed Gaara's hand, shaking it vigorously. "You really don't make it easy for me, huh?" Then he leaned to the side, blinking behind Gaara. "Hey, isn't all that sand heavy and kinda... Bad for your back?"

He stared at his hand after Naruto had shaken it. "For someone else, maybe.. To me, it merely feels like an addition to my body.."

Naruto thought of how 'an addition to his body' was basically 'extra weight' but he decided to not get into the matter. "Like... An ass tumor?? Believe it?"

"...Why not." He gave Naruto a strange look. "All that should really concern someone is that I use it for fighting..."

"What, do you throw it at them and break their backs with it's enormous weight? Maybe you should stick to kunais." He grinned and poked the giant peanut shaped sand on Gaara's back.

He sighed, lifting his hand. The cork keeping the gourd closed popped off, and sand crawled out of it and down his arm, circling around his hand. "I don't throw the gourd at people.. I manipulate the sand in the form of an attack.."

Naruto's eyes widened. "Woah! That's so cool! What kind of jutsu is that?!" He stared up and down at Gaara and then back to the sand. "Can you teach me?"

"It's not something I could teach you.." He shook his head slightly, watching as the sand lifted from his hand and swirled around Naruto. He wasn't exaclty sure why he let it do that without it being some sort of attack. "It's a form of technique that only I can use."

"Aw.." Naruto pouted, staring at the sand going around him, unaware of the threat it was. "Even if I train really hard? Even if I eat lots of ramen?"

"I'm sure it is highly improbable." He replied, also watching as the sand continued to swirl around Naruto harmlessly.

"So then how did you learn it?" For some reason, Naruto just wouldn't let it go.

He gave a low sigh, staring at the sand as he let it drop to the ground. It crawled accross the ground and up his body until it reached his gourd, going back into it. "I've had it ever since I can remember."

"Heheh.." He scratched the back of his head. "So can all the people in Suna use it? You're all a bunch of sand monkeys?"

He sighed, putting his hand to his head. "No, were not all a bunch of sand monkeys. I am the only one who can use it."

Naruto had a 'super-mega-hardcore-turbo-awesomeness' attack. "That's so cool! I bet all the sand monkeys in Suna wanna be you, Gaara! Well, all the sand monkeys who haven't heard of me." He completely ignored Gaara's negativity towards his use of 'sand monkeys'.

"No, they don't want to be me." He kept his hand to his head, closing his eyes. "Why do you call us sand monkeys? There aren't monkeys in Suna.. I think people from Konoha would be monkeys, if anything. Leaf monkeys."

He laughed and slapped Gaara on the back. "Ha! This is why I keep you around! Here in Konoha, we're frogs not monkeys!" Then he crouched low. "Ever heard of the Hofroge?" With that question, Naruto started jumping around like a frog all around Gaara. "Well now you've seen it! BELIEVE IT!"

He stared blankly, watching as Naruto jumped around him like a frog, slightly confused. "Interesting.. there would be tree frogs here, I'm sure. But that doesn't explain why you would call us sand monkeys.."

He stopped hopping right in front of Gaara, staring up at him and grinning. "Well, you're around a lot of sand, so your sand monkeys. And I guess you guys throw a lot of poop at eachother or something, heheh."

"There aren't any monkeys in the desert.." He frowned, his brows furrowing as he seemed more than slightly confused at the blond boy's behaviour. "Why would we throw feces at each other? Is that what people do in this village?"

At this, he fell over backwards laughing. (like I just did) "No! Haha, but don't judge me on my no-knowledge of Suna, I've never been." Then he hopped up and tried to give Gaara the evil eye but it kinda just looked like he was constipated. "Do all the guys wear turbans?"

He gave him a strange look. "No.."

He continued to give Naruto a strange look. "What are you doing?"

Naruto jumped back and brushed his hand through his always-tangled mess of hair. Then he did a Rock Lee-like thumbs up, with teeth sparkle and everything. "I just used constipated-eye no jutsu. Did it freak you out or what?"

"No, it didn't." His eye twitched. "Though, I'd like to know what that jutsu is good for.."

He stood up strait and skratched the back of his head, grinning dumbly. "Heheh, guess it doesn't matter. Anyway, Gaara, why are you here and..." He started to glance about, finally noticing all the people who were looking at them. "Why is everyone looking at us?" It wasn't like the usual stares he got, these people looked more like 'wtf?' then scared or hating.
