He reached forward and grasped the back of Gaara's shirt, walking a few more steps and then stopping himself and his friend. "It doesn't seem like there's much I can do so why not -instead of being mopey- we figure out something together? I'm not gonna say it wasn't your fault, cuz that'd be lying, but when stuff like this happens you gotta learn from it and think of what's most important. I'm probaby gonna die if you leave me alone cuz I can't make heads or tails of what to do. So don't just throw me away like something you don't want to think about just cuz you're mad at yourself."

"..." He glanced at Naruto briefly, then took his good arm, turning around and starting to walk back into the village while pulling the blond along. "Where are your medics.."

He cocked his head to the side, not fully understanding. "'Where are my medics?' At the hospital of course. But I told you I can't go there, Uncle Uzumaki has not cent on him. Maybe if I was someone else they'd let me off this one time but they don't like seeing my face much around there unless it's a face that can pay."

"Don't be foolish." He didn't glance back to Naruto, pulling the blond around the village. "Where is your hospital.."

Naruto sighed. "You're gonna get me in trouble.." Reluctantly, he raised a hand and pointed down one street. "It's a big building on the left of Ichiraku," Suddenly, he perked up. "Maybe after we can go get some!"

He dragged Naruto along, not exactly listening to what he had to say after the blond showed him where to go. "I don't care if you get into trouble. You won't. And if you do, I'll deal with it."

"But then you'll just get me in even more trouble!" He felt like bolting the other way but failed to do so because of the constant reminding throbbing in his arm. "C'mon, let's just go back to my house so I can rap and sheet around it or something. That's good enough!"

"Don't be foolish." He replied, pulling Naruto along. He passed the ramen shop, making his way to where he believed the hospital was, from Naruto's directions. "If you get into that much trouble, then stay with me for a while."

His mouth slanted into an upside-down V. The prospect of staying with Gaara was a fun one, but he knew that it wasn't possible, even if he ever did get into monserously-sized trouble. "This is starting to sound like some sort of romantic comedy.. You're not gonna try to marry me, are you?"

He stopped, turning and staring at Naruto. Suddenly, he got down on one knee, pulling Naruto's good arm so that their faces weren't too far apart. "Is this what you want, Naruto?"

His reaction was more delayed then one would expect as he jumped back from the sudden closeness. "Wah! No way! No way! I'd rather you take me to the hospital! That's a flat out no, you've been rejected!" He shook his head and tugged away from Gaara. "Don't do stuff like that, it's creepy!"

"That's what I thought, now come with me before I continue with it." He stood, grabbing Naruto's good hand and beginning to drag him along again.

Although he knew the consequences of his actions, Naruto wouldn't stop complaining. "But the hospital people are super-creepers! They'll rub stuff on me and stick stuff in me and it'll hurt! You're dragging me to a torture chamber!"

"I could do worse if you'd like." He growled, continuing to drag Naruto to the hospital. "That torture chamber is nothing compared to what I've got in store for you if you don't shut up. Mine won't help you in any way."

"Pfft." Naruto waved a hand at Gaara's comment. "Ooh. Sand. I'm so scared. You've really got me. I guess I'm just gonna have to stop everything and cower in fear of dirt's cousin." He scoffed. "Now can you just stop this foolishness and take me home?"

He stopped, turning around and pulling Naruto close again. "Oh, no, the only sand that will be involved is the sand at your feet. Though, if you'd like, I could always use sand and make you even more uncomfortable then you'd already be. Would you like to test me, or do you want to fix your hand?"

Naruto tried to glare at him head on but instead found himself looking down at his hand again. The numbness in it had spread out up to his elbow and he found it was throbbing in the joints. The decision he could make now was to bolt for it and hope he got back to his house before he collapsed of blood loss or he could let Gaara take him a few more steps into the dreaded hospital. He swallowed dry spit and grumbled. "Fix my hand and be quick about it."

He nodded, turning and pulling Naruto into the hospital despite how much the blond didn't want to go.
